Art School Atlanta Ga

I attend a private university with it’s own merit system. I want to transfer- how can I hold onto my credits?
I attend a private liberal arts university- Oglethorpe, in Atlanta (Buckhead), GA. However, I would like to transfer to a university in San Francisco, CA. Is there a way I can convince the dean of students, or whomever to give me credits for the two years I have already invested, or will I have to completely start over? I believe school policy states I have to start over from scratch, but I’m wondering if I give them a compelling enough story, can they work with me and show lienency?
Any advice for people who have been in a similar situation would be extremely useful.
Thanks~
College credits never go away. No, you don’t have to start over. You don’t have to plead your case to anyone. The new college may decide NOT to accept all of your credits for your new degree, but they don’t go away. They will still go on your transcript at the new school.
