Art School Virginia

Is the University of the arts in Philadelphia a good school?
I received a letter from them recently about attending their college of media and communication. I’ve already been accepted to the University of Alabama, Duquesne University, and West Virginia University for the same major. Is it worth considering attending still? I had never heard of the UARTS in Philly till this letter…Thanks.
Well, UARTS is by all accounts an art and design school…they offer a ton of different programs with “the arts” as a focus. Now here is what you need to think about…do you want to go to an art school or do you want to go to a regular university? Sometimes people go to a specialty school and then find out once they are there that what they thought they wanted to do is…well…not what they wanted to do, forcing them to transfer to a school that offers more options. So at a place like university of AL…if you decide you want to make a change…you can…easy peasy. Larger “typical” universities also offer other things that Art Schools will not…such as a more active student life, athletics, clubs (that are not major or program focused)…you get the idea. There is nothing wrong with specialty schools at all (heck i went to one) but they are going to be a vastly different college experience then a typical school (i went to those also). So those are just some points to think about…good luck!!
