XMA extreme martial arts, it is useful?

I went to a martial arts exhibition in Birmingham last year and there was extreme martial arts group. There is no fighting style was a mix of various acrobatics, and some martial arts. It looked evil, matrix style, but this style of fighting just to look good whether this is really effective and no one really part of the club XMA?

First of all, looks good and can be useful to factor intimidation. Very useful in the film for the fight sequences, but the fight down and gritty / area of self-defense does not work like most fighting was on the hook after moment.
