What’s the best wall color to mix contemporary and traditional furnishings and art?

I have modern chrome, glass and leather furniture and heavy antique gold framed art. I’d like to keep it all, what is the best neutral wall color to use? Should I go with cool neutrals because of the chrome and silver elements or warm neutrals because of the antique gold. Thanks?
I have a white leather and chrome chair, deep blue gray sofa, a couple of dark wood pieces of furniture, glass and chrome dining table with zebra oof-white and black dining chairs.

why not forget about neutrals and go dramatic deep purple or plush pinks…pastel pinks and purples are great in bedrooms,more intense shades are great in dining room and living rooms,if it must be neutrals id go for warm….
