Newcastle Upon Tyne is a pleasant city to live?
We are moving. My wife and I are wedding photographers and are planning to establish our business Newcastle. We'd like to live in a nice quiet, safe neighborhood with good public transport, cheap housing (if there is such a thing) and things to do / see. Interested in hiking, photography, nature, art and history.
Newcastle-upon-Tyne is a lovely place to live. I do not know about cheap housing (which not yet exist in the current climate), but if you live near a metro station that heavy ground cover, it can get anywhere. Even if you have to get a meters to the center of the city and move from the bus station to go away for sightseeing. You will be spoiled for choice for hiking and photography. There are many nice places to live in as already mentioned above and more. Benwell are places to avoid, because it is absorbed by ethnic ….. Fenham, Sandyford and Most of Jesmond, because its assumed by students. Just remember to live within the metro system to be created for your business and interests. Good luck!
