Thomas Zipp biography and exhibition at the Saatchi Gallery

Thomas Zipp was born in 1966 in Heppenheim, lives and works in Berlin. Zipp given work of the Romantic story: the deliberate appropriation of styles and ideas, renewed, more agitated, and mutated to contemporary experience. Rebuild the end of the concept and refreshing to re-use suction Zipp creates a parallel world into question the future of fiction based on revisionist history. Schwartze is to install the world consists of nine parts of paintings, drawings and sculptures. In the center is a large piece of black structure. Ominous and the strange shape of the balloon connotes a malicious technology, stealth, as in their capacity. Summary of scientific accompanying drawings suggest that are equally funny and menacing. portraits full of scenes from B-movie style: Leaders of the dead as zombies rivets to add a subtext of evil eyes, captivating and fun.
Figure-ground subconscious dreams, Thomas Zipp Der Schlaf IV makes the surreal landscape. Use of each element of his installation as a reference basis, Zipp flirt narrative weaves between reality and fantasy. The image, depicting a vast rugged landscape, sexuality is nothing compared to the feeling and censored in the box and the note ends with a trail of small perforations. Create a sense of clinical detachment, accompanied by a large installation Zipp spider. Come from a fluorescent tube, its design is a mathematical proportion of illogical, irrational in order to increase vigilance.
By betting, Thomas Zipp develops a fantasy setting on the edge eccentric and theatrical. Finding inspiration from art history, politics, philosophy and pop culture, Zipp uses unlikely combinations of sources and species to cause a feeling of familiarity in the absurd. The two canvases and drawings, E-Licht is sparsely covered by the museum authorities. Balancing on the abstraction big picture Zeppelin, Zipp uses features of the environment to create a fictional space formalism, utopian aspirations of modernism doubling as a collection of underground doom.
